Planning Background

The site lies within a larger area identified by Warwick District Council in their Local Plan as a location for a strategic urban extension.

In January 2016, outline planning permission was granted for 450 dwellings (Application number W/14/0681 as amended by W/17/0894) and subject to a S106 Agreement.

The planning permission includes:

  • 450 new homes
  • 40% affordable housing (180 homes in total)
  • Two vehicle accesses, one from Gallows Hill and one from Europa Way
  • Green infrastructure and public open space
  • Children’s play space
  • Footpaths and cycleways
  • Foul and surface water drainage

Infrastructure

Site infrastructure works have already commenced on site.

These works are subject to a separate (RMA) application granted in January 2018 (ref. W/17/1988).
